Em comemoração ao seus 25 anos de carreira, os suecos do Meshuggah lançarão ainda neste semestre o CD/DVD ao vivo, The Ophidian Trek, via Nuclear Blast. O trabalho, que também estará disponível em Blu-ray, vai trazer imagens da última turnê pelos EUA e Europa, além do show da banda no festival alemão Wacken Open Air, em 2013.
O áudio do material foi processado e editado pelo guitarrista Fredrik Thordendal. Já a mixagem ficou aos cuidados de Daniel Begstrand (Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth) e a masterização a cargo de Mats “Limpan” Lindfors (Roxette, Opeth, Mando Diao).
The Ophidian Trek é o segundo DVD ao vivo do Meshuggah. O primeiro, intitulado Alive, saiu em 2010.
