Confira a seguir:

(NOTA: o show do Lamb of God no BOA 2013 aconteceu no dia 10 de agosto, confira o review aqui)

P.I.: E o set list do show dessa noite?

(risos)

P.I.: Vocês vão tocar essa música hoje?

Recentemente, vocês anunciaram um show extra aqui no Reino Unido.

Mark Morton - Lamb of God

English version

Portal do Inferno: Welcome to Bloodstock Open Air 2013 Mark. Before we start talking about today’s Lamb of God headlining role, let’s go through your seventh album, Resolution which was released in January 2012. Are you happy with the results that you guys have once again achieved within the metal community?
Mark Morton: Thank you! Once we were through with Resolution and done with it, we realized it just falls into the family of our albums you know? And I think it holds a very valuable place, I am very proud of this record, all of us are. Now we are thinking of what to do next.

P.I.: Are you already planning the follow up to Resolution?
Mark: We have every expectations to do another album, I cannot tell you when but that’s definitely where my head is at now.

P.I.: That’s very good news indeed. With regard to Bloodstock Open Air 2013, this year we have three of the best headliners we could have possibly expected: King Diamond, Lamb of God and Slayer. How do you feel about Lamb of God being one of them?
Mark: It’s an honour and it’s very flattering to be in a position here in the UK where we can hold this slot. It’s not something that we take for granted at all.

Mark Morton - Lamb of God

P.I.: What about the set-list for your today’s performance?
Mark: Tonight it’s really cool because we are headlining so we get to stretch out a little bit. There’s going to be more material: at some of the festivals we have played at so far we only get forty minutes, tonight we have one hour and a half, so we can really pace things like we like to, and do our show.

P.I.: You are basically at home at Download having played at this festival several times. What are the main differences you are expecting from the crowd here at Bloodstock?
Mark: As far as I can tell, this crowd seems to be a little more of a strictly metal audience, where Download seems to span more gendres. I think this is probably going to give the show a character of its own.

P.I.: Lamb of God has definitely reached Slayer’s fans, do you think you will also grasp King Diamond’s fans tonight?
Mark: I hope so (laughs!)

Mark Morton - Lamb of God

P.I.: With regard to the songs from Resolution: it was at Hell Fest last year that I first saw you performing Ghost Walking, my favourite song of the album because of your solo, one of my favourite solo ever actually.
Mark: Thank you very much, thank you for saying that!

P.I.: Are you going to play Ghost Walking tonight here at Bloodstock?
Mark: Yes, you can expect it tonight (smiles!).

P.I.: And how do you feel about performing this song live? It’s very intense.
Mark: It’s one of my favourite of the record as well, it’s got a bit of that rock n’roll in it that I like.

P.I.: I am looking forward to it. You have only recently announced an extra show here in the UK.
Mark: Yes we are still bouncing around Europe for the next week and a half or so. We are heading up to Amsterdam in a couple of days, then we have some shows in Ireland and then we come back here in the UK to play in Wolverhampton before going to Germany. Then we go home for a little break.

Mark Morton - Lamb of God

P.I.: Can we expect a full European tour soon?
Mark: Yeah I think so, I do not know if we have announced what we are going to do yet but I know we are coming back over this side.

P.I.: And this question is for the Italian fans and our Rockerilla’s readers. I noticed that there are many Italian here which is great: what are you expecting from your next tour in our country?
Mark: I have always loved going to Italy, if it was up to us we will be probably there more often but it’s between the promoters and the booking agents to work it out. I am always happy to see Italy on the tour list.

P.I.: Thank you, we look forward to having you back. Is there any other country in Europe where you really feel that the audience is close to Lamb of God?
Mark: I do not want to single any country out, but I think that initially we were accepted first in Scandinavia and in the UK, I think these are the countries where people really caught on when we first started coming over here. But it’s nice to see that the rest of Europe is catching on as well.

P.I.: Thank you for your time Mark, is there any partying message before you go?
Mark: Yes, thank you for the support, we are looking forward to coming back.
